Many people who live in Houston do not even own a vehicle. Instead of paying the high price of car payments, parking fees, gas, insurance, and plates, they use a car share service. This is a great alternative to transportation that allows users to have access to a vehicle for their occasional needs a few times a month while utilizing the public transportation system or walking for their daily needs. Using a service like car sharing in Houston will save most people upwards of ten thousand dollars each year while still being able to have access to a car when they need it.
Car sharing helps to eliminate most of the expenses associated with vehicle ownership. This type of system allows members to gain access to a vehicle whenever needed. Members are only charged for each hour the vehicle is used with a maximum fee. Included in this rental time is gas, insurance, and everything else you may need, helping car share members to enjoy the benefits of a vehicle without the hassle!
Car share companies in Houston require a yearly fee to join. This fee gives you a card that will allow members access to a car after they reserve it, eliminating the need for long lines. Members simply go to their vehicle that is strategically parked throughout the city, unlock it with their pass, and drive off. They return it to the same location without any stress or worry! There is a 24 hour helpline that will give you access to an employee should you experience any difficulties or concerns.

The task of finding affordable vehicles to take advantage of while traveling in Houston may seem difficult. The truth of the matter is that affordable vehicles are available twenty-four hours a day through car sharing networks. Of course these vehicles are not meant to be used the whole day, but a four hour trip and enjoyment possibility is simple to take advantage of when it only costs about $30. On average, great car share options will be able to provide you with a vehicle for only about $7 an hour and that could even be as low as $4 an hour if you are lucky.
The advantage of car share networks is that they do not fluctuate as bad as rental cars. Car shares are designed to function on the hourly rate model which is more efficient for the use when you only need a vehicle temporarily. Many travelers use vehicles for temporary periods and with a normal rental, the vehicle would only waste in a parking lot. The best options are always available and easy to take advantage of. Some companies even offer special memberships which can save you money on rates or get your vehicles faster through the internet.
Of course, renting a car share should always be done as far in advance as possible to ensure that a vehicle is available to the driver whenever needed. Last minute booking can result in a poor vehicle choice or simply, no vehicles at all. The common problem with overuse of the service is during periods of high travel such as holidays are that the vehicles are booked solid. Solid booking leaves no spaces for those who wish to enjoy themselves. Preventing this disappointment is simple through the use of booking the vehicle in advance.

It’s one of the worst feelings in the world that can come from multiple sources. You see smoke under the hood, the “whub, whub, whub” of a flat tire is heard coming from outside the car, or someone’s just crunched in your trunk and fender. “How long will it take to get this fixed” is one of the first questions and thoughts that come to the queasy feeling in your stomach when it comes to auto repair. The next is “What kind of clunker will I have to rent while this is repaired?”
There’s a better answer to that last question, and one that might help ease the pain of lengthy car repair! Car sharing services are popping up all over Houston, and with expansive highways and commutes to work, you can’t bank on an older rental car or a hassle-filled contract with a rental company either! Car sharing services offer some of the newest, most fuel-efficient cars out there, such as hybrids or Zipcars, and they can ease the burden of being without your usual car while it recovers in an auto repair shop.
With low rates, in many cases lower than those you’d pay at a major car rental chain, car sharing services can be a sensible solution to a short-term predicament. If your car is in the shop just for a day or two, a low daily rate, that can include gas and insurance, why go to a major rental place when car sharing makes more sense? You may already be shelling out a bit of change for car repair, save some of that by using car sharing services instead! It should help ease some of the hassle of car repair!
